\nBeatport, a leading global platform for DJs, producers, and electronic music professionals, invites you to attend Beatport Connect NYC, returning to Brooklyn on Friday, June 12.
Part of its global event series, Beatport Connect brings together artists, record labels, and music industry professionals for a full day of panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities. Now in its second year in New York, the event explores the ideas, challenges, and trends shaping today’s electronic music landscape, while fostering in-person connection and knowledge sharing across the global dance music community.
This year’s program will feature “The Past Present and Future of Dance Music,” an artist-led discussion reflecting on the evolution of dance music culture, from iconic local movements to today’s globally connected dancefloors, while exploring the communities, trends, and global influences shaping the future of electronic music.
Additional sessions include “Journey of a Release – From Getting Signed to Playlisting,” presented by the Association for Electronic Music (AFEM), which explores release strategy, marketing, and playlisting within today’s music landscape, alongside conversations examining New York’s queer club culture, sustaining creative careers in an always-on digital environment, and the pathway for emerging DJs building from local scenes to main room bookings.
Speakers include Alyssa Byrne (TuneCore), Alyssa Vera (AFEM), Bina Fronda (Ultra Music), Mona Dehgan (Mute), and Ronny Ho (Spotify), alongside artists and creators including Baauer, Bianca, Patrick Topping, The Juan Maclean, Oscar Nn, and Sim0ne.
